Company background

In its current form, the Public enterprise for management of the residential and commercial property of the Republic of Macedonia exists since 1994.

The legal grounds for the establishment and operation of the public enterprise is defined with the following laws:

1. Law for management of the residential and commercial property of Republic of Macedonia ("Official Gazette of RM", No. 2/94);
2. Law for sale of commercial properties of the RM ("Official Gazette of RM", No. 2/94; Constitutional Court – 64/94);
3. Law for sale of socially-owned apartments ("Official Gazette of RM", No 8/93, Const. Court – 11/93);
4. Law for Public Enterprises ("Official Gazette of RM", No. 38/96, 9/97 and 6/02; Constitut. Court – 19/02);
5. Law for housing ("Official Gazette of RM", No. 21/98 and 48/00);
6. Law for denationalization ("Official Gazette of RM", No. 43/00).

In 1994, pursuant to provisions of the Law for management of the residential and commercial property of Republic of Macedonia, all the rights, liabilities and responsibilities, buildings, equipment, inventory, archives, documentation, financial assets from operation and construction funds - of the Self-managing Community of Interest for real estate properties were transferred to the Public enterprise for management of the residential and commercial properties of the Republic of Macedonia. In compliance with the general act of systematization of jobs and tasks, all the employees of the Self-managing Community of Interest for real estate properties became employees of the public enterprise.
